Our Mission

Our mission is to engage, organize, mobilize and take collective action to strengthen our public health safety net so it’s there when we need it.

Our goal is:

  • To engage public health, faith and community-based organizations in collaborative health-related efforts that serve the common good
  • To sponsor the placement of school nurse-led health services in medically under-served communities and monitor their impact on the local safety net
  • To petition elected/appointed officials on behalf of the 99% for and hold them accountable for decisions that supports the health and well-being of their constituents

By working together:

  • We can improve:
    • The impact and reach of effective health interventions
    • Access to jobs for school nurses, trained health and social workers and community professionals
  • We can reduce:
    • Inappropriate use of the ER for non-urgent health care needs
    • Levels of uncompensated care, overcrowding and wait times

The end results are  healthier communities and a stronger, more accessible public health safety net, which serves the best interests of the 99%.

This is change that “We the People” can believe in, and we hope you will join us.
